Caseta Smart Fan Control hum Last weekend I removed the Maestro fan receivers for all three of my Hunter fans, and wired in Caseta dimmers for the lights, and Caseta smart fan controls (PD-FSQN-WH-R) for each of the fans. All 3 fans now produce a small busyness when active, to a greater extent noticeable at lower speeds. One of the fans is brand new, the others are several years old but in good condition.
As mentioned earlier, the old canopy receivers are departed. I *accept* wired neutral for the switches (joining the fan unmoral, and the alternate neutral, to the unmoral wires entering the switchbox).
If I place a dumb switch on the fan, and use the pull chains, there's no hum.
Is this normal?

Non normal. Bring i sure you have the pull chain set to its highest speed. Using a fan on low speed, past pushing it take down with the fan control prat cause hum.

I only double checked that, thanks for pointing that out. I'm also noticing that speeds 1-3 happening the control are indistinguishable in speeding from cardinal other (medium low), and 4 is high. Three other models of Orion fans, varying ages. Three different Caseta switches, all unexampled.

Howdy, I'm having the identical exact trouble! Just installed 3 FSQN fan switches and every ceiling fan hums at any grade. None thrum with dumb switches in the last 2 years! My ceiling fans are Casablanca CC5C31C94.Have you found a way to get rid of of the seethe? I'd have it away to keep the FSQN switches.I'm non an electrician merely maybe because of load up put out: the fact that breaker is unselfish recession lights, outlets and ceiling fans?Appreciate any sixth sense and hopefully result :)

The FSQN is rated for fans with split-capacitor motors. These in the main have pull irons for control. I could not encounte your model on the Hunter/Casablanca site. I looked at some similar fans and they don't sound out if they are split-capacitor or not. It's worth a squall to Hunter to find out.

Make a point your pull-chain is set to the highest speed.
